@wtrichcompany, @makeawishmari, and Saam Architecture have joined forces to fulfill the wish of an inspiring 8-year-old boy named Kyle who lives with his family in Grafton, MA.

Kyle wishes for a tree house with awesome exterior features like a ladder, a tire swing, and a basketball hoop, as well as ample space inside to serve as an exclusive hang-out spot for creating his imaginative comic books and having fun with his friends and older brother!

Saam is excited to work with Boston Public Facilities and @bostonschools on a facilities assessment, programming, and conceptual design study for McKinley South End Academy (soon to be renamed Melvin H. King Academy). The design team recently visited three separate buildings of the K-12 school in Boston's Fenway and South End neighborhoods and kicked off visioning with the school community.

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT: Saam designed the modernization of the Hanscom Air Force Base (@team_hanscom) in Bedford, MA, to take into account the project requirements, existing facility conditions, and project constraints to provide the best possible operational, energy conserving, and cost-effective facility.

The design process expanded upon a previous space planning study with analysis of programming, cubicle layout, maximization of natural light, and increased collaboration opportunities, and the project adheres to @deptofdefense sustainability and incorporated Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) code compliance.
