As part of a major improvements project at the Boston Athletic Club (BAC), Saam Architecture designed environmental graphics that wrap around the double-height space the updated fitness room.

The concept utilizes the BAC’s logo and brand colors and was partially inspired by the BAC’s original logo; it was also integrated into other spaces to unify the design throughout the gym and on the BAC website.

Adopting the type and simple shield of the BAC’s current logo, the super graphics evoke a style that is modern with vintage attributes. Patterns were assigned to each of the photorealistic athletes to create a dynamic composition suited to the active, multi-functional fitness space.

The 7.75-foot-high panels were dye-sublimation printed on heavy knit fabric in lengths ranging from 7.75 feet to 122.9 feet.
