MIT B36 RLE Office Suite Renovation

Saam completed a renovation in MIT’s Building B36 for the Research Lab for Electronics (RLE) for the Department of Facilities. The existing space consisted of enclosed office and lab spaces with a small break area. To accommodate the research office needs internally and with collaborating partners, the new space included a mix of open and enclosed offices for individual and group needs for 35 students and the relocation of one sound lab. The renovation also provided a kitchenette, storage room, lounge with flexible seating, collaboration tables and chairs, and individual workspaces with visual and acoustical separations.

Research at RLE involves developing innovative technological tools and the understanding and means to model complex phenomena, as well as create a foundation for new technologies that can be used to further research progress. Their major research themes include: Atomic Physics; Information Science and Systems; Quantum Computation and Communication; Energy, Power and Electromagnetics; Photonic Materials Devices and Systems; Nanoscale Materials, Devices, and Systems; and Biomedical Science and Engineering.
