Roger E. Wellington Elementary School

The new Roger E. Wellington Elementary School was one of the early Ch.149A projects at MSBA. The school is composed of two wings with a core of communal spaces. Sustainable design elements include use of light shelves to maximize daylight and displacement ventilation in all classrooms.

The BIM model on the project was considered an exemplary collaboration tool in a public bid environment, and the project’s sustainability goals are benchmarked by the Collaborative for High Performance Schools rating system (CHPS).

Saam team members participated in CM selection and Trade Contractors pre-qualification. Burt Hill completed this project as the Associate Architect with Jonathan Levi Architects. See also this article in the Boston Globe.
