Davis and Furber Historic Mill Complex

Since 1992, members of the Saam team have completed numerous projects at the 600,000-square-foot Davis and Furber Historic Mill Complex for three different owners; most recently RCG, LLC, a real estate investment, development, and management firm headquartered in Somerville, MA. The East and West Mills are the former campuses of the Davis and Furber Machine Shop and serve as the centerpiece of the Machine Shop Village Neighborhood Conservation District located in North Andover, MA.

Saam’s scope included the coordination of laser scanning and development of a BIM database of all the existing buildings. RCG has breathed new life into the deteriorating property by introducing a mix of residential, retail, and higher quality office uses that are consistent with thriving downtown neighborhoods and in line with their goals of developing sustainable communities.
