Ana Macarena is a young designer working toward earning her architecture license and is excited to be working at Saam. She is passionate about context-driven and humanistic design, sustainable building strategies, and technological innovation. She has always been interested in the power that architecture has in impacting community, culture, and quality of life.

While earning her Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin, she had the opportunity to participate in a design-build project as part of the Gulf Coast DesignLab, where she learned first-hand about designing for a specific community and acquired physical, on-site construction experience.

At Saam, she values the collaborative environment and enjoys working with others to come up with solutions. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors, ultimate frisbee, running, and exploring new places.
