At a young age Kara’s interest in creating space formed into a lifelong dream of becoming an architect.
Her passion grew during a research assistant program in New York City at the Center for Architecture Science and Ecology at SOM, where Kara worked with unprecedented technologies and building systems. This experience along with her multidisciplinary training formed a foundation grounded in responsive sustainable design.
She has worked across many contexts and scales in the last decade as a designer in Boston. Through a critical understanding of vision, environment, and interrelationships she focuses on responsible designs with a shared goal of utilizing the built environment to improve the lives of others, while making a positive impact.
In her spare time, she is an avid runner, baker, and podcast enthusiast.
