While at Burt Hill, members of the Saam team worked on an interdisciplinary laboratory in the university’s Center for Brain Science. Based on successful teaming for the previously completed Harvard University Biophysics Laboratory project, Burt Hill and Shawmut Design and Construction were commissioned to fit out the interdisciplinary lab for Professor Yu Zhange.

A fast-track design-assist schedule was agreed upon to execute documents for the project. The shortened design period allocated four weeks to generate a permit set and twelve weeks to coordinate with the contractor with a design/build methodology in mind.
