Krista Knickerbocker
Krista Knickerbocker, Associate, AIA LEED-AP

With a Masters of Architecture from Washington University and a Bachelors of Science in Economics from Boston College, along with a minor in Studio Art, Krista has always been drawn to design and problem solving.

Krista particularly enjoys developing a simple architectural concept and formal language that serve to drive a design forward. She believes in a flexible process, and allowing the specifics of each design challenge to dictate its aesthetics and approach. Computer modeling with Revit and Rhino, hand sketching, and physical models both quick and refined, are all tools that help Krista navigate an iterative design process.

Krista has worked and taught in Saint Louis and Boston before joining the team at saam. Outside of architecture, Krista enjoys shifting scales to design and fabricate concrete and metal jewelry, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog Dunkin’.
